Current Issues

The Georgia Interfaith Public Policy Center engages with policy issues that affect Georgians within our mutual faith-based values of love, justice, mercy, and hospitality.

Each fall, our board holds a day-long retreat to pray, hear from experts, and determine the issues the Center will focus on in the upcoming year. These issues may involve economic, environmental, or racial justice. They may also address healthcare, or issues within the state justice system.

Currently, the Center is an active ally in coalitions to expand healthcare access, provide for second chances to previously incarcerated people, provide for alternatives to the death penalty, make housing safe and affordable, and other issues of justice and mercy.
